DRAFT – These minutes are not official until approved at the next regular Planning & Zoning Commission meeting.
City of Bigfork
Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting January 2, 2008
Members Present: Amy Tendrup, Ann McGarry and Lonnie Kacon
Members Absent: Gus David and Richard Salmi
Also Present: none
Acting Chairman Amy Tendrup called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Tendrup reported that she had taken notes at the December meeting in Storlie's absence and she would get together with Storlie to draft minutes for that meeting.
Storlie provided a list of the ordinances left to complete. These include ordinances dealing with animals, nuisances, streets & sidewalks and subdivisions. It was determined that the animal ordinance would be on the next agenda. Storlie will check to see what other cities without a pound do for animal ordinances. Tendrup reminded the Commission that the mobile home park regulations were still a work in progress. Shaw has sent a letter to the owners and no response has been received yet. This issue will be on the next agenda as well.
There was discussion on what should be done with banner-type signs. There are a number of them up on businesses in town. They have been up too long to be considered temporary signs and they are not constructed of the required materials to be considered permanent signs. The Commission will look at the current sign ordinance at the next meeting and discuss what regulations, if any, should be in place for banners.
The Planning Commission meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
